Xbox One's UI and Snap mode gets filmed in new video clip
Microsoft released an official look at the dashboard of the Xbox One a few days ago, but that video clip was a simulation and even Microsoft team members later admitted there were elements in that video that were not representative of how it works in the real world.
This week, the Gameon Daily website managed to get their hands on an Xbox One hardware SDK and filmed a quick clip from a monitor that showed a real world version of the consoles UI, concentrating on its Snap mode feature. Basically, the video shows how you can play the upcoming Xbox One launch title Killer Instinct and then use the Snap mode to bring up the console's version of Internet Explorer so it can run side-by-side with the game. You could, in theory, look up information about a game in IE while playing the game at the same time.
While this latest clip is from the Xbox One SDK and not from an actual retail box, it's still offers a good idea of how the Snap mode feature could be very useful. Microsoft is still planning to launch their next generation console on November 22nd in 13 markets.
Microsoft builds giant Xbox One console in Vancouver

Microsoft seems to like making huge props to promote their hardware. Last week, the company erected a massive working Surface 2 tablet in London. Today, the company has topped that project with a huge Xbox One console that it has placed in a parking lot on the streets of Vancouver.
The fan site Xbox One In Canada first reported on the huge structure, which is 40 feet long and 20 feet wide. If you are in Vancouver, you can head over to the intersection of Nelson and Seymour to see it for yourself. However, the oversized Xbox One has not been placed there just to sit and look a bit like the Monolith in 2001. The official Xbox Canada Facebook page says that people can "pledge" their Xbox Live gamertag at the physical location, online at Xbox.ca/OneSource or via Xbox Live. Each pledge will cause the huge box to get closer to an unstated goal that when reached will cause the large Xbox One to open up with a mystery reward.
Obviously, this is a cool way to promote the launch of the Xbox One on November 22nd in Canada. The huge prop will apparently be making a tour of other Canadian cities but dates and specific locations have yet to be announced.
