Metal Gear Solid 5 ‘will launch Summer 2013 at the earliest’, says mo-cap actor
Metal Gear Solid 5 motion capture work is currently underway. Silent Hill 4 motion actor Eric Bossic has just finished some work on the game with Kojima Productions, but he has warned that the game is a long way from finished.



In an interview with Silent Haven, Bossic discussed his recent work with Kojima Productions, “My past motion capture session was for an upcoming Metal Gear game, I will be back with Kojima again in the fall, and maybe other sessions. This title is a long way off.”

When asked which Metal Gear project he was working on, Bossic added, “I am working on a future metal gear, not to be released until next year summer at the earliest, if not later then that. Im doing motion capture only.”

“I can 100% say my voice will not be involved in this. I dont even know what the title is, they are all very secretive and sometimes even the scenes I act out I dont even know the full story, because they want to keep it secret.2

“I suppose it is fine to mention I am working on it, everybody knows Kojima is making something now, and I posted the photo on my page here with him. The only thing is that I cant ever answer any questions about it or talk about, not for sometime.”

Metal Gear’s 25th anniversary event to ‘shake up’ industry
Metal Gear’s 25th anniversary event will include “exciting announcements” and something which will cause the industry to “be shook,” according to the latest Kojima Productions Report podcast.



The promise of something big was announced by Kojima Productions Report podcaster Ken Mendoza, who said the Tokyo Midtown event would contain “a lot of exciting announcements.”

Chris Johns added during the podcast: “A lot of things to look forward to next week, not just for fans, but I think the industry’s gonna be shook by what we’re going to be able to present here.”

The event will contain an announcement in relation to a game idea Hideo Kojima has which “connects people,” and a demo of the Fox Engine will be presented using a new game in the works by the man himself at the event on August 30.

Kojima will then fly to the US to attend Pax Prime where he will be part of an hour long panel hosted by Spike TV’s Geoff Keighley.

The panel is scheduled for 1.00pm PDT on September 1 at the Paramount Theatre, and it will be open to all PAX attendees.

PAX Prime takes place in Seattle from August 31 to September 2.

For the most part, Kojima Productions’ plans for the Metal Gear 25th Anniversary remain a mystery. But one thing is for sure: fans should be prepared for big news ahead.

KP Report podcaster Ken Mendoza hyped up the upcoming proceedings on the latest episode by saying there will be “a lot of exciting announcements.”

Chris Johns went a little further, noting that “the industry’s gonna be shook by what we’re going to be able to present here.”

Johns stated:

“A lot of things to look forward to next week – not just for fans, but I think the industry’s gonna be shook by what we’re going to be able to present here.”

We do know that Kojima Productions will be showing off the Fox Engine at the Metal Gear 25th anniversary event in Japan. Beyond this, though? We’re not sure. There could be more news on Revengeance… or maybe a game announcement?
