Γεια σε όλους! Ήταν λίγο σφιχτά τα χείλη μας για τους επερχόμενους τίτλους μας εδώ στην UFG, αλλά είμαστε τελικά σε θέση να σας δώσουμε αυτό το κάτι.

Έτσι, φτιάχνουμε ένα νέο παιχνίδι! Δεν μπορούμε να πούμε πολλά γι 'αυτό τώρα, αλλά μπορεί να έχετε διαβάσει για την καταχώριση του εμπορικού σήματος για κάτι που ονομάζεται Triad Wars! Λοιπόν, είμαστε υπερ-ενθουσιασμένοι που είναι άλλο ένα παιχνίδι που βασίζεται στο σύμπαν του Sleeping Dogs, αυτό είναι κάτι που θέλαμε να κάνουμε για πολύ καιρό, και είμαστε πολύ χαρούμενοι που θα συνεργαστούμε με την Square Enix και πάλι ... αλλά αυτό είναι το μόνο που μπορούμε να σας δώσουμε για την ώρα - θα έχουμε περισσότερες πληροφορίες σχετικά με το τι πρόκειται να είναι το παιχνίδι μέσα στο 2014.

Όπως πάντα, μας αρέσει να ακούμε τις σκέψεις σας και εκτιμούμε το ενδιαφέρον σας για τα παιχνίδια που κάνουμε - αν και για να επαναλάβω, πραγματικά δεν μπορούμε να μοιραστούμε παραπάνω λεπτομέρειες μέχρι το 2014 (παρά τις καλύτερες προσπάθειές σας να τις αντλήσετε, πονηροί!)

Με το παραπάνω σημείωμα η United Front Games ενημερώνει για την έλευση ενός νέου τίτλου στο σύμπαν του Sleeping Dogs. Από την ονομασία και μόνο, Triad Wars, αν είναι να μαντέψω, μάλλον θα κατέληγα σε έναν τίτλο F2P Online εστιασμένο στους πολέμους μεταξύ των φατριών του Sleeping Dogs και όχι σε κάποια συνέχεια. Μέχρι την τελική αποκάλυψη του τίτλου, είμαστε σε αναμονή.

Nintendo Wii production has officially ended



Today marked the end of one of the most successful game consoles in Nintendo's history. The Wii, which launched in the fall of 2006 with the funny name and the Wii Remote controller, is no longer being made by the company as it tries to made the transition to the more recent Wii U.

Nintendo's Japanese website has confirmed it has shut down producing new Wii hardware. Nintendo has shipped just over 100 million units of the Wii since its launch, beating the shipment numbers of the Xbox 360 and the PlayStation 3. However, both of those consoles are still in production and in theory they could finally overtake the Wii if sales last long enough.

Nintendo had an early success with the Wii; stores all over the world could not keep up with the demand for the first several months after its launch. This was due in part to its low price (just $249 in the U.S) and the fact that the console, at least in some parts of the world, included Wii Sports as a freebie. The game, which also served as a tutorial on how to use the motion-based Wii Remote, became a critically acclaimed title on its own.

However, in terms of monthly sales, the Wii fell behind the Xbox 360 and the PS3 in the last few years of its life, thanks to their higher end hardware and more advanced features, not to mention better game libraries. NIntendo launched its successor, the Wii U, in 2012, but so far sales of that console have not come close to the levels of the original Wii.

Η Capcom έδωσε στη δημοσιότητα ένα βίντεο για το Ultra Street Fighter 4, στο οποίο παρουσιάζονται οι νέοι μηχανισμοί μάχης. Το Ultra Street Fighter 4 ανακοινώθηκε τον περασμένο Ιούλιο για PS3, Xbox 360 και PC και θα διατεθεί υπό μορφή DLC για όσους έχουν ήδη αγοράσει το Super Street Fighter 4 ή το Super Street Fighter 4 Arcade Edition, στην τιμή των $14.99, ενώ θα διατεθεί και ως stand-alone τίτλος στην τιμή των $39.99. Θα περιλαμβάνει πέντε νέους χαρακτήρες, έξι επίπεδα, νέα modes και χαρακτηριστικά. Έως τώρα έχουν αποκαλυφθεί οι 4 από τους 5 νέους χαρακτήρες, με την Capcom να υποστηρίζει ότι αυτός δεν έχει ποτέ στο πρωταγωνιστήσει σε άλλο game της σειράς. Βράβευση του Ken Levine
Τα Golden Joystick Awards απονείμουν για πρώτη φορά βραβείο προσφοράς στη βιομηχανία και ο πρώτος που θα το παραλάβει θα είναι ο συνιδρυτής της Irrational Games Ken Levine. Το βραβείο αφορά στη δουλειά του Levine, που περιλαμβάνει τα System Shock 2, BioShock και BioShock Infinite. Όπως ο ίδιος ο Levine αναφέρει: "Στους περισσότερους τομείς, οι άνθρωποι ξεκινούν τις καριέρες του αντλώντας έμπνευση από τους άλλους. Εν συνεχεία εμπνέουν με τη σειρά τους άλλους. Ένα από τα σημαντικά πράγματα της φύσης των video games η οποία ακόμα οριμάζει είναι ότι μπορείς να εμπνέεσαι από τη δουλειά βετεράνων και νεοεισερχόμενων ακριβώς το ίδιο. Ακόμα προσπαθούμε να συλλάβουμε μέρα με τη μέρα τις δυνατότητες αυτού του μέσου".



Τα Golden Joystick Awards 2013 θα λάβουν χώρα στο Westminster Park Plaza του Λονδίνου, την Παρασκευή 25 Οκτωβρίου. Το BioShock Infinite είναι υποψήφιο για μια σειρά βραβείων, συμπεριλαμβανομένων των "Best Storytelling" και "Best Visual Design".

Όπως αποκάλυψε η Victory Games, η αρχική αντίδραση από την κλειστή beta φάση του F2P παιχνιδιού Command & Conquer ήταν απογοητευτική. Σύμφωνα μάλιστα με την ομάδα ανάπτυξης, ο τίτλος δεν κάλυπτε τις προσδοκίες των fans της σειράς και αυτό είχε σαν αποτέλεσμα να ακυρωθεί η ανάπτυξη και η διάθεσή του. Έτσι λοιπόν, αναζητούνται λύσεις ώστε να ξανά έρθει η εν λόγω παραγωγή στο προσκήνιο το συντομότερο δυνατό.



Αξίζει να σημειωθεί δε, ότι η ΕΑ επιβεβαίωσε λίγο αργότερα πως «η Victory Games αναμένεται να διαλυθεί, ενώ η ομάδα ανάπτυξης του παιχνιδιού θα απορροφηθεί από την ίδια την ΕΑ προκειμένου να δοθούν σε αυτούς τους ταλαντούχους ανθρώπους νέες ευκαιρίες». Ωστόσο η εταιρεία επιβεβαίωσε ότι στο μέλλον θα δημοσιευθούν περισσότερες πληροφορίες για την τύχη του franchise. Μέχρι τότε μείνετε συντονισμένοι...

10 years after Steam's official launch it now has over 65 million accounts



In September 2003, Valve announced that the first public version of its Steam game download client had launched, after a number of months in beta testing. The client was originally made to download Valve's Counter-Strike 1.6 game but expanded to include the launch of Half-Life 2 and Counter-Strike: Source in 2004.

Today, just over 10 years after the launch of the first public version of Steam, Valve has announced, via an email press release, that the service now has over 3,000 games in its library and over 65 million accounts, which Valve says is 30 percent higher than a year ago. Microsoft's own Xbox Live service has 48 million members, according to the Xbox website. In between 2003 and today, Valve has expanded Steam's reach to include games from nearly every major PC game publisher and well as a ton of independent game titles and has been credited as one of the reasons behind the current success of the PC platform for publishing new game

Valve has added Mac and Linux games in addition to Windows to Steam in the past few years, and in the past 12 months it has added a number of new features such as Family Sharing, Steam Trading Cards and Early Access, which gives gamers a way to pay for titles that are still early in their development.

In recent weeks, Valve has announced its plans to extend its Steam service into the living room with Steam Machines, which will be PCs that will use the Linux-based SteamOS. Valve has also developed its own Steam Controller for the Steam Machines and plan to sent out beta versions of both to 300 testers later this year. Valve also plans to release SteamOS for developers soon, with the full Steam Machines launch planned for 2014.

Heavenly Sword Feature Film Trailer


Heavenly Sword is a CG animated film based on the PS3 game. The film is slated to be released digitally worldwide, as well as theatrically in select global markets, in the Spring of 2014. The film stars Anna Torv as Nariko, Alfred Molina as King Bohan, and Thomas Jane as Loki.
