Το L.A.

Remember Me's Neo-Paris sure looks pretty, even from the underbelly of the slums.
The Vanishing of Ethan Carter unveiled
Here's an interesting indie game that is coming this year on PC. The Vanishing of Ethan Carter is labelled as a "weird fiction horror" inspired by early 20th century weird and macabre tales. It is developed by The Astronauts, a team comprised of People Can Fly veterans. Players will take on the role of a detective (with the supernatural ability to visualize scenes of lethal crimes) that investigate the kidnapping of a young boy.

Origin client goes live for Mac
EA's digital delivery service kicks off on Mac with 50 games

The service has arrived with around 50 games - many of which are The Sims offerings - with Dragon Age 2, Batman: Arkham Asylum/City and Lego games in the starting line-up.
Similarly to the PC client, Origin for Mac offers users access to cloud storage to save and continue games elsewhere, social connectivity via friends lists and more.
Origin also offers "dual-platform play", which means purchasing a game on either PC or Mac will allow you to download that game on both platforms (depending on availability, of course).
Origin has nearly 40 million users across PC and iOS platforms, says EA, with over 500 games from EA and its publishing partners.
Origin nears 40 million users, says EA
Over 500 games offered via EA's Steam challenger

That's up a significant number since the firm reported 30 million registered users by the end of October 2012.
That figure accounts for users across both PC and iOS platforms, but the firm doesn't break down how many of these registered accounts are actively used.
The publisher also notes that the service now has over 500 games on offer, including games from EA and from partnered publishers.
The firm stated in October 2012 that some 70 games studios sell their games through Origin.
The Origin client today went live for Mac, bring some 50 titles to Mac gamers including Dragon Age 2, Batman: Arkham City and a lot of The Sims games.
Epic Games closes Impossible Studios
Infinity Blade: Dungeons "on hold as we figure out the future of the project"

Here's the full official statement from Epic Games founder, Tim Sweeney:
We're closing Impossible Studios.
When former members of Big Huge Games approached Epic last year, we saw the opportunity to help a great group of people while putting them to work on a project that needed a team. It was a bold initiative and the Impossible folks made a gallant effort, but ultimately it wasn't working out for Epic.
In addition to providing Impossible Studios employees with 3 months of severance pay, we'll be giving the team the opportunity to form a new company with the Impossible Studios name and the awesome Impossibear logo.
This means that Infinity Blade: Dungeons is now on hold as we figure out the future of the project.
-Tim Sweeney, Founder, Epic Games
Founded in June, Impossible Studios consisted of former employees of Big Huge Games, creators of the Rise of Nations strategy games, Age of Empires III: The Asian Dynasties, and Kingdoms of Amalur: Reckoning.
Based in Hunt Valley, Maryland, its first project was the touch-based action role-playing game 'Infinity Blade: Dungeons' for iOS, which appears to have been delayed indefinitely.

νεο KOTOR????
Obsidian CEO Feargus Urquhart said that the studio is lobbying to develop a new Star Wars game for LucasArts, now wholly owned by Disney. The game the studio is pitching wouldn't take place in the same time period as Knights of the Old Republic, though, as Urquhart views this as a bad pitch since The Old Republic didn't perform exceedingly well.
Instead, Obsidian wants to make an RPG that takes place between Episodes III and IV, when the Jedi are being purged and the Emperor is further securing his empire. Urquhart added that Obsidian designer and writer Chris Avellone, who has written several Star Wars comics as well as Knights of the Old Republic II, has, "[come] up with a really cool story."
The original pitch was made before the acquisition of Star Wars by Disney, and Urquhart plans on continuing to push the idea despite the transition. Will it ever see the light of day? Who knows. For more information about Obsidian, RPGs, the PC and more, you can check back with RockPaperShotgun in the coming days when they post a longer interview.
