Another look at the ‘WWE '13’ Austin 3:16 Collector's Edition
THQ has provided another look at the Austin 3:16 Collector's Edition for their upcoming multiplatform title, “WWE '13.” The image shows what appears to be the final version of the package as evident by the inclusion of the T (for Teen) ESRB rating. The back cover also shows off some of the features from the wrestling video game in addition to previewing the contents from the collector’s edition. Should you be one of the half a dozen Xbox 360 users who remembers to install games to harvest a performance boost, don’t bother doing so for DOOM 3: BFG Edition. Besthesda told Shack News that there’s no benefit in installing, and more importantly, installing will actually lock you out of the copies of DOOM and DOOM 2 included in the package. Doom 3: BFG Edition is also available on PC and PlayStation 3.

Sniper Elite V2 – two new DLC packs release on Steam today
Sniper Elite V2 is getting free and paid DLC today in the form of a new multiplayer map and the Dog Tag Harvest Mode.



The new multiplayer map is Neudorf Outpost, which was released as DLC in September, but for the single-player campaign.

In the new mode players will collect dog tags from enemy kills.

The Landwehr Pack is also available, and includes a new single-player mission in Berlin which tasks the players with eliminating three German generals. It also comes with two sniper rifles and a machine gun.

It will run you £2.99 and will be released on Steam today.

85% of social players give up after one day
Playnomics has released a report on user engagement with social games. The audience management firm discovered that 85% of players in the US didn’t return to a social game after their first day of play.



The report was carried out from July to September this year. Interestingly, 95 percent of players who started a game at the beginning were inactive by the end. Were the 5% addicted, or simply more patient than other users?

Other findings were equally as intriguing. Most money is spent on free-to-play games during Friday and Saturday, despite these being the days in which people play them for the least amount of time. Monday and Tuesday represent the longest time played, but also the least amount of cash spent.

It’s amazing what alcohol can do to you, eh?
