Soul Sacrifice screens show lovely landscapes, formidable enemies
Soul Sacrifice hasn’t been dated but it’s expected sometime in northern spring 2013 on Vita.

Vita Firmware 1.80 Allows You To Control PSP Games With Touchscreen

Not mentioned in today’s PlayStation Blog post about Vita firmware 1.80 is the ability to control PSP games by using the touch screen. As seen in these shots below you can now assign different controller inputs to the corners of the Vita touch screen.

While this is something I would probably never use, it is still great to have the option available. Sony also seems to have added support to map the Right Stick to the L and R buttons. We will be on the look out for more stealth features added via 1.80

PS Vita firmware v1.8 locks memory cards
A lesser-advertised feature of PlayStation Vita's firmware v1.8 has been discovered.
As soon as you download the update - which brings many requested features such as PSOne game support - you can no longer change the PSN account associated to your memory card without formatting the card itself. If you try and change the account, you are greeted with the following message:
http://www.psu.com/media/articles/image/PS_Vita_1_8_Error(1).jpg
If you select Cancel the Vita behaves as if no memory card is inserted in the unit.
Since the PS Vita launched Sony has been criticised due to the high RRP of the memory cards, though so far has yet to slash the price of the accessory. Following the release of the Vita's latest firmware it is safe to suggest that demand for memory cards has just increased as many Playstation users have multiple PSN accounts so they can access as much content as possible.

PS Vita Firmware v1.80 Adds Undocumented PlayStation Mobile Feature
One of the undocumented features in PS Vita firmware v1.80 is PlayStation Mobile transfers – the feature that allows you to transfer PlayStation Mobile content to and from your PS3 or PC/Mac. The PlayStation Mobile service will be launching this Autumn, so firmware 1.80 adds compatibility for the service.
Until now, the only way to transfer PSM content to your Vita was using the PlayStation Mobile SDK and a PC. The new feature means gamers will be able to transfer / backup content to their PS3, and eventually download content to their PS3 from the PlayStation Mobile store.

Ico Shown Running On PS Vita

Shuhei Yoshida, President of Sony Worldwide Studios and a prolific tweeter, has just posted the picture above.
As you can see it shows PS2 title Ico, from the infamous Team Ico, on a Vita and considering the source I think we can assume that the game will be making an appearance on Sony’s latest portable at some point.
It would seem, in all likeliness, that the image is in fact showing off Ico working over the Vita’s Remote Play feature, with the game listed as one of those that Sony would be making available along with God of War, God of War II and Shadow of the Colossus.
As for when Ico or any of the other games will actually be available? No date has yet been announced for any of them sadly, but we’ll update if more information arrives.
