Metal Gear Solid: Ground Zeroes to Launch on PC
The footage we’ve seen thus far for Metal Gear Solid: Ground Zeroes (or should we say The Phantom Pain) has looked quite gorgeous. The sort of rendering and environments that PC gamers have surely been clamoring to get their hands on as soon as possible. The series, however, has had quite the spotty release record on computers. While the first two games eventually saw release on PC, years down the road, the third and fourth games have been completely absent from it.
This may change with the latest Metal Gear Solid, however, with a job posting on Gamasutra looking for various positions, including a “Project engineers for the latest Metal Gear Solid targeted for high-end consoles and PC”. “High-end consoles” has sometimes been used (especially with foreign developers) interchangeably with next-gen consoles, while PC can only mean one thing: PC.
It’s unclear if this means Kojima is looking to launch the new game day and date on PC, or be planning something down the line, but it certainly seems like Ground Zeroes is heading to the platform.
