IO Interactive A/S, a Square Enix studio, has today revealed the first edition of the Hope News Times. The local newspaper for Hope, South Dakota, Hope News Times is a fictional weekly publication reporting the latest news from the town, and revealing a brand new chapter in Hitman: Absolution.

Hope and its citizens are heavily influenced by local legend Blake Dexter and his company Dexter Industries. Coincidentally, with the arrival of Agent 47, the otherwise quiet town has become a bedlam of strange accidents and occurrences. Are these odd events really linked to the assassin? Fans will soon find out, as new stories will run in the Hitman: Absolution each Thursday, and an accompanying screenshot from the videogame revealed each Friday. The first edition of the Hope News Times is available below, and Electronic Theatre will keep you updated with all the latest details on Hitman: Absolution.

On April 7th at the Penny Arcade Expo in Boston, Massachusetts GamerFitNation got the chance to interview Sven Liebold on the upcoming smash hit, Hitman. Before the event we were shown a demo featuring a checkpoint within the level which was very spectacular. In this interview, GamerFitNation talks about stealth, action, and murderous intent of Agent 47. You should be warned if you don’t watch this video Sven might appear at your house with the fire axe from the game looking to take out a hit on you.
