Ο Major Nelson αποκάλυψε μέσα από το blog του τις limited και day one εκδόσεις του επερχόμενου Forza Motorsport 5 αποκλειστικά για το Xbox One. Συγκεκριμένα πρόκειται για το Limited Edition Car Pack και το Day One Car Pack τα οποία θα κοστίζουν $79.99 και $59.99 αντίστοιχα. Το πρώτο bundle θα περιλαμβάνει 5 σούπερ αυτοκίνητα τα οποία προορίζονται για το legendary status, καθώς και ένα VIP Membership με το οποίο μπορείτε να απολαύσετε αποκλειστικά προνόμια όπως είναι το 2x player reward acceleration, πρόσβαση σε αποκλειστικά multiplayer events, ενώ διαθέσιμα θα είναι και 5 VIP αυτοκίνητα.

Microsoft announces Forza Rewards
New points system rewards players with cars, in-game credits, and tokens; includes support for previous Forza games.



Earlier this week, Microsoft announced Day One Edition versions of some of its major first- and third-party software, including Forza Motorsport 5. While early adopters will receive bonus vehicles, livery, and tuning, today the publisher announced plans for a longer-term system with benefits for fans who have already, and will continue to invest time playing the series, called Forza Rewards.

"By playing Forza games, you earn points in Forza Rewards. The more points you earn, the higher your Tier level, and the higher your Tier level, the better rewards you can earn," the post on the Xbox blog says. "Each month, you can redeem rewards in games like Forza Motorsport 4 and Forza Horizon, including cars, in-game credits, tokens, and more."

Players will be able to monitor their progression on the Forza Rewards website. Forza games dating back to Forza Motorsport 2, as well as the upcoming Xbox One exclusive, Forza Motorsport 5, will support the system. Also available will be the option to compare your success against others on your friends list.

Forza Motorsport 5 will launch alongside the Xbox One console this November.

How the Xbox One cloud makes Forza 5 a better game in new video
"The system you're going to race on launch day is different from the system two or three weeks later."

We've heard lots on how the upcoming Forza 5 is to utilize the Xbox One's cloud computing capabilities are going to enhance the fancy Drivatar system, and as the launch of the game (and console) gets nearer, Xbox have been giving a little more information on the additional benefits afforded by the cloud.

In a post on the Xbox Wire blog, the Drivatar system is of course, front and centre, but also mentioned is how Turn 10 Studios can bring themselves closer to the Forza community, by being able to see what sorts of race types and vehicles are proving popular in real time and are able to react accordingly by adding more of the content players are playing.

In an additional video with Xbox's Graeme Boyd, Turn 10 Creative Director Dan Greenawalt mentions how the Drivatar system will improve your and your friends virtual drivers, claiming that the system you race on launch day will be completely different from the same Drivatars two or three weeks later as people improve and start to learn the nuances of the game:



Greenawalt also mentions how the cloud will benefit other games by making dedicated servers easier to implement - a luxury rarely seen on consoles until now. Microsoft have also released one of their infographics to illustrate some of the other improvements the cloud offers the Xbox One which we've attached to this post.

Turn 10 claimed the cloud offers them 600% more AI capability in our recent interview. Forza 5 is set to be an Xbox One launch title when it screeches around the corner in November.

Forza 5′s latest revealed track is Bathurst, Xbox One team to compete
Turn 10 Studios has unveiled another track from Forza Motorsport 5 – Australia’s own Bathurst. Additionally, an Xbox One team is entering the 2013 Supercheap Auto Bathurst 1000.



According to Xbox Newswire, the Bathurst track is Mount Panorama, and fulfils a request made by many racing fans.

“Few circuits have been requested more by the worldwide Forza fanbase than Bathurst, and for good reason. It holds a special place in motorsports history as one of the most demanding and challenging circuits in the world,” Turn 10 creative director Dan Greenawalt said.

“In addition, the timing couldn’t be better to finally bring Bathurst to the Forza series; with ‘Forza Motorsport 5’, we’re able to bring the circuit to life in a way that nobody else can. Through the use of cutting-edge technology like laser-scanning and our new materials-based graphics engine, we can now precisely reproduce the characteristics of every corner, straight and detail to sub-centimeter accuracy; from the narrow twists and turns of the Esses, to the thrilling rollercoaster sprint down the Conrod Straight.”

The Xbox One exclusive is due at launch in November, but before that happens Microsoft will have already become quite intimate with Bathurst through its Xbox One Racing Team, which will participate in the 2013 Supercheap Auto Bathurst 1000.

The Xbox One Racing car is the most recent Holden VF Commodore, with a 5.0 litre naturally aspirated V8 Holden engine, which has an estimated output of 640 bhp and a top speed of almost 300 kph. The car will be driven by Andy Priaulx from the UK Mattias Ekström from Switzerland.

Κάτι τέτοιο σημαίνει ότι το κάθε πακέτο θα περιλαμβάνει 10 αυτοκίνητα έκαστο, ενώ οι παίκτες θα είναι σε θέση να εξερευνήσουν κάθε λεπτομέρεια τους, καθώς και να τα παραμετροποιήσουν όσο περισσότερο γίνεται.



Τα εν λόγω πακέτα θα διατεθούν ξεχωριστά -ένα κάθε μήνα- ή θα αγοραστούν εκ των προτέρων από τους κατόχους του Forza 5 Car Pass, όπου και θα προσφέρονται με ειδική έκπτωση. Μένει μονάχα να μάθουμε πόσο θα κοστίζει το κάθε πακέτο.
