Episode 3 of the mini series shows how the developers have created a scary experience.
Dead Space - A Journey Through Terror Part 4 of 4
Before you take down the terror in Dead Space 3 on February the 8th, take a look back on Isaac Clarke's journey so far.
In four parts, the Dead Space Journey Through Terror series charts the evolution of the Dead Space series to date - its story, its gameplay and its scares, and also provides a glimpse at what the next chapter has in store for Isaac Clarke in Dead Space 3. In this final episode of the mini series, we discover what the future has in store for Isaac.
After escaping Titan Station, Isaac and Ellie parted ways. Whilst Isaac tried to put his past behind him and escape from EarthGov onto a lunar colony, Ellie decided to search for a way to stop the Markers once and for all. Joining forces with a small unit of EarthGov soldiers which included Captain Robert Norton and Sergeant John Carver, Ellie then went MIA whilst following a lead.
Tau Volantis, the planet where Isaac eventually finds himself scrambling for survival, presents new challenges. Low visibility makes it harder to see enemies coming, and for the first time, Isaac will face human enemies as well as Necromorphs, as the Church Of Unitology's more fanatical devotees attempt to hunt him down.
Luckily, along with a new weapon creation mode and new combat moves, Isaac now has the option of sharing his burdens with a co-op partner, John Carver. Though they stand a better chance of survival together, the option of using Carver in co-op isn't essential to completing Isaac's story.
It's time to face your fears, and take down the terror!

Dead Space 3 “Item Farming” glitch is not a glitch, says EA
EA has said the Dead Space 3 “Item Farming” glitch is not a glitch after all, therefore it has no plans to patch it up.

According to a representative speaking with GameFront – which found the supposed exploit in the first place – the area in question in the game was “deliberately designed” to allow for farming resources used for crafting.
“The resource-earning mechanic in Dead Space 3 is not a glitch,” said EA representative Jino Talens. “We have no plans to issue a patch to change this aspect of the game. We encourage players to explore the game and discover the areas where resources respawn for free.
“We’ve deliberately designed Dead Space 3 to allow players to harvest resources by playing through the game. For those that wish to accumulate upgrades instantly, we have enabled an optional system for them to buy the resources at a minimal cost ($1-$3).”
The site posted a video earlier in the week which showed a room where players could fight respawning enemies and continue to loot material off downs foes for as long as they could stomach the tedium of such an act.
Apparently some ethical questions were raised from a few online sources, with some suggesting it was a farming exploit to get around the microtransactions EA embedded in the game.
So there you go. You are not cheating if you do this, so slap those necromorphs around in the respawning area for hours at a time if you wish.
Dead Space 3 is now available worldwide on PC, PS3, and Xbox 360.
